The Royal National Lifeboat Institution - Saves Lives at Sea

Kinghorn RNLI Lifeboat volunteers are calling on supporters to join them for their second Fish Supper event on Saturday 15th October at the Lifeboat Station.

Our crewmembers regularly get called away from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to go to sea, in often horrendous conditions, and now we are putting out a ?shout? for our supporters to join the crew for a fish supper to help raise funds for this essential service.

The event will be held in the boat hall of the Lifeboat Station, starting at 7.30, with the suppers served around 8pm.

Crewmember Mel McGarva said, ?Last year I organised my first ever fundraising event, which was a sell-out success, so I have decided to host the event again in 2016.

?This evening will be a chance for our supporters, and friends from our flank stations, to join our crew for a relaxed bite to eat, a few drinks and a general chit-chat!

?We?re moving the boat out for the night and setting up tables and chairs in the boat hall. The fish suppers will be served amongst many pieces of our equipment, this should make a fantastic informal setting for the night. It?ll be a great opportunity to see the kit, speak to the crew and most importantly have fun!

?Tickets are ?10, and this includes your fish supper. Please bring your own bottle if you need something to wash your supper down! We?ll have cans of juice for sale, as well as tea and coffee.

?If you can?t make the event, but would like to support the event, you could organise your own fish themed supper party, and raise money for the RNLI in the process. Full details are available at .

?Our crew members often have to skip suppers with their families when their pagers go off. They care passionately about saving lives and all they ask for is the right kit, training and support. The RNLI is a charity and we?re funded by the generosity of people like you. So when you host a Fish Supper, you?re helping to save lives.?

Tickets are available for our station supper from Kinghorn Community Centre. They will be available for sale until Friday 14th October.
