- Kinghorn Loony Dook (on 01/01/2018)
- Welcome 2018 and banish any hangover with a refreshing dip in the Forth at Kinghorn Beach. The big charge down the beach happens at 11am.
This is a great community, social event and a great opporchancity to wish your friends and neighbours a Happy New Year...and of course have a giggle at the Dooker's expense!!
Why not get sponsorship and raise money for the RNLI whilst doing so (this is not compulsory!)
Terms and conditions
? I am over 18 (or have an appropriate adult in attendance who has signed below)
? I am not under the influence of alcohol or drugs
? I undertake this event at my own risk
? I am physically fit and able to undertake this event
? I will not enter the water to a depth more than my height
? I will not remain in the water for more than 10 minutes
? I will follow safety instructions from RNLI personnel
? If I have been sponsored, I will ensure all funds collected are returned to the RNLI
? I understand that the organisers reserve the right to cancel the Dook in the event of
? exceptionally bad weather
? To maintain public decency, I will not wear a mankini or similar attire
? I accept that I am a bit loony to even contemplate this!
Fish Supper (on 07/10/2017)
- SHOUT ? You are invited to join the crew for a fish supper!
INITIAL INFORMATION ? Kinghorn Lifeboat Crew requests your assistance in the boat hall, Kinghorn Lifeboat Station, St James Place.
SITREP ? You are tasked to join the crew on the 7th of October at 1930, to enjoy a fish supper and a few drinks. Tickets are ?10, which includes your fish supper. Juice will also be available for sale, but bring your own bottle! Tickets available from crewmembers and Kinghorn Community Centre now.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY ONSCENE ? Please park on Harbour Road. (Limited disabled parking available on the prom) Wear warmish clothing (it is a boat shed after all!), but more importantly, join us for a bite to eat and have fun!
OUTCOME ? Meet the crew, see the kit, have fun and raise money for the RNLI so we can continue to save lives at sea!
