Shout Number 20/2017

Date/Time: 16/07/2017 17:55 - 20:25

Called to Starleyburn for a False Alarm

People Assisted: 0

The lifeboat was launched to undertake a search after a surf board was found on the shoreline by a member of the public near the Fife Coastal Path at Starleyburn.

A shoreline search was undertaken between Burntisland and Braefoot bay, returning to Kirkcaldy approximately 0.25 miles offshore.

A second surfboard was found at Ross Point by the crew. It was soon established by the Coastguard that both boards had been set adrift and that no-one was in difficulty.
